Singapore, Dec 20 (DPA) Singapore Airlines (SIA) Wednesday signed an agreement with Airbus for nine more A380 super jumbos and also announced a settlement regarding the delay in deliveries of the largest commercial plane previously ordered.
SIA is looking forward to delivery of the first A380 in October 2007, said chief executive officer Chew Choon Seng.
The pact includes the additional nine aircraft with six more options and the lease of 19 A330-300s.
Deliveries for the nine A380s, following the ten ordered in 2001, will commence in January 2010 and are scheduled for completion in early 2011.
