Ranchi, March 27 (IANS) Thirteen government employees died in a road accident in Jharkhand when they were going to Palamau to prepare for the Lok Sabha by-election, police said.
The government employees, most of them school teachers, were going from Garwah district to Palamau, where the by-poll will be held Thursday. The bus in which they were travelling plunged into a river while negotiating the Dehri bridge, about 160 km from here, at 11 a.m.
While 10 of them died on the spot, three succumbed to their injuries in hospital, police said, adding that about a dozen other officials were also injured.
