Ahmadinejad compares Israel to Hitler

Tehran, July 16 (DPA) Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad compared the Israeli regime to German dictator Adolf Hitler and Mongolian leader Genghis Khan in the face of Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Palestine.

"Just like Hitler, the Zionist regime is just looking for a pretext for launching military attacks. This regime which claims that Hitler has committed huge crimes, is now acting just like him," ISNA news agency quoted him as saying.

"What this regime is doing is even worse than Genghis Khan," said Ahmedinejad Saturday.

Ahmadinejad blamed Israel for using the baseless pretext of kidnapped soldiers to start a war. "Israel could easily agree on an exchange of prisoners," he added.

"There are only two options left: those who created this regime should either take it away again from the region or the second option, agree with a referendum by the Palestinians to clarify their political fate," he said.

"If these two options were not accepted, then the fury of the (regional) government would erupt and the file of this regime's crimes of the last 60 years will be put on the table and evaluated line by line. Eventually, justice will prevail and be implemented by the nations," Ahmadinejad said.
