Gandhinagar, Sep 13 (IANS) Dayasharan Sinha, a former chief justice of the Gujarat High Court, was Tuesday appointed first chairman of the Gujarat Human Rights Commission.
While taking the charge of the commission, constituted by the state government in July, Sinha said that he had got a chance to serve the people of the state, said an official statement.
Sinha studied law in Allahabad University and began his career as an advocate in the Allahabad High Court in 1960. He was chief justice of the Gujarat High Court from March 2002 to March 2003.
