Monchengladbach (Germany), Sep 7 (DPA) England defeated India 3-2 in a Pool B match of the men's hockey World Cup here Thursday.

This was India's second successive defeat, following their loss to Germany by the same margin in the tournament opener Wednesday.

India must win their next match, against South Africa, Saturday, to remain in contention for the semi-finals.
