BJP's 'moving tribute' to Vande Mataram
Dehradun, Sep 8 (IANS) In what could be termed a "moving tribute", senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders led a large group of people in singing national song Vande Mataram while travelling on a Dehradun-bound train to attend the party's national executive meet.
As the clock struck 11 a.m. and the party's top brass began chanting Vande Mataram at the meet in Dehradun, BJP leader Kirit Somaya got up from his seat on the Shatabdi Express and opened his laptop in which he had a recorded version of the song.
Somaya urged fellow passengers to join in the singing. Led by former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde, they joined in with gusto, even as the recorded version played out on the laptop.
