Cairo, Sept 9 (NNN-MENA) A Lebanese national carrier plane took off Thursday on its first direct Cairo-Beirut flight after the Israeli air blockade was lifted, with 145 passengers on board.

Middle East Airlines (MEA) flights to and from Cairo had to transit in Amman and Damascus airports these last two months, during which the direct Cairo-Beirut airline was in recess.
