India held, World Cup semi-final chances dented

Monchengladbach (Germany), Sep 9 (DPA) South Africa rallied to hold India 1-1 to virtually end the former champions' semi-final chances at the World Cup here Saturday.

Sixth-ranked India had earlier lost to defending champions Germany and England in Pool B matches by an identical 2-3 margin.

South Korea lead the pool with six points from two matches while Germany, the Netherlands and England have three points each.

India and South Africa are yet to win a match.
