Bomb found outside Nashik hospital

Mumbai, Sep 11 (IANS) Within three days of the serial blasts in Malegaon of Nashik district, a bomb fitted with a remote control device was found outside a crowded hospital in Nashik city Monday.

"According to initial reports received here, the bomb fitted with a remote control device was detected outside the busy Lifeline Hospital, a private healthcare centre in the city, late Monday afternoon," said a top police official in Mumbai.

The official said that a bomb disposal squad of the Nashik police was rushed to the spot.

"Bomb disposal squad personnel were still working to defuse the bomb when last reports came in," the official of the Mumbai police control told IANS.

Maharashtra has been on high alert after the three blasts in Malegaon Friday killed 37 people and injured about 200 others.
