Chandigarh, Sep 11 (IANS) Eight people were killed and 15 injured in a head-on collision between a private bus and a truck in Punjab's Gurdaspur district Monday.

The accident occurred on the Gurdaspur-Pathankot road as the bus was trying to overtake another vehicle.

Superintendent of Police D.S. Virk said the injured have been admitted to the civil hospital in Gurdaspur.
