Iran ready to help reconstruct Lebanon: VP

Tehran, Sept 11 (IRNA) Vice President for executive affairs Ali Saeedloo has announced Iran's readiness to contribute to the reconstruction of devastated Lebanon to remove the ominous effects of the ferocious war unleashed by the Zionist regime in that country.

Speaking to the Tehran-based Arabic-language newspaper Al-Vefaq, in an interview published Sunday, the official said Iranian assistance would be made available through public, private and charity organizations.

He said Iran is prepared to reconstruct all destroyed roads in that country and also help repair public places like schools, mosques, churches, and other religious and public service installations.

Saeedloo noted that many Lebanese cities are twinned with Iranian cities and each municipality is organized to manage the construction of one city in Lebanon.
