Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 12 (IANS) Union Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi will inaugurate here on Sep 17 a five-day Bharat Nirman public information campaign to highlight important central government schemes.

The programme is being organised by the Press Information Bureau at Kaniyapuram on the outskirts of the capital city.

As part of the campaign exhibitions, discussions, loan disbursements, career guidance elocution competitions for students and cultural programmes would be held.

The exhibition would also offer a platform for the non-governmental organisations to showcase their products and services.

Seminars on a wide range of topics including rural development, women empowerment, right to information and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan would also be conducted and would be addressed by experts.
