Beijing's per capita income rises by 14.2 percent
Beijing, Sep 13 (Xinhua) The per capita disposable income of Beijing's residents increased by 14.2 percent to 13,357 yuan ($1,669) in the first eight months, officials said Wednesday.
The inflation-adjusted rate stood at 13.1 percent, a rise of 2.4 percentage points from the same period last year, said Yu Xiuqin, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.
In the first eight months, Beijing reported retail sales of 213.33 billion yuan, up 12.4 percent year-on-year, Yu said.
Beijing's consumer price index (CPI), the major inflation gauge, increased by 1 percent from a year earlier. The August CPI increased by 0.5 percent, she said.
