Congress wants to rule Jharkhand by proxy, says Naidu
Ranchi, Sep 13 (IANS) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M. Venkaaih Naidu has accused the Congress party of making efforts to topple the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-led Arjun Munda government and rule the state by proxy.
"The sole motive of the Congress is to impose president's rule in the state. It also instigated the independent ministers to revolt against the government," Naidu told reporters here.
"But Munda government will prove its majority on the floor of the house," he asserted.
Asked whether Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will be allowed to join the government the BJP leader said, "If the JMM is willing to sever links with the United Progressive Alliance they can join NDA."
Naidu also blamed the Congress for the controversy over Vande Mataram.
"Now Congress leaders say they got the date of the centenary celebrations wrong," he said.
