Cairo, Sep 13 (Xinhua) One crewmember was killed and three went missing as an Egyptian dredger sank in the Suez Canal Wednesday, Suez Canal Authority said.
The boat sank near the town of Ismailia. The authorities have closed the busy international waterway as rescuers were searching for three missing crewmembers, an official said.
According to the canal authority, the remaining 41 crewmembers were rescued.
The official attributed the accident to a technical fault. The boat sinking was the latest in a series of deadly Egypt transport accidents.
