Special students from Singapore meet Kalam, Sonia
New Delhi, Sep 20 (IANS) A group of special students from Singapore, who are visiting India on an international student exchange programme, met President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi here.
The 15 students, aged between 11 and 13, from Chao Yang Special School, Singapore, shared their experiences in India with the leaders.
The exchange programme has been organised by Shri Ram School and Sparkz Pvt Ltd Singapore.
"It was an exciting occasion for children," a press statement from Shri Ram School said.
The children also visited Agra. This was the second programme in which students of Shri Ram School and children with special needs from Singapore came together for academic and cultural exchanges.
The exchange students interact with mainstream students, take part in theatre workshops, attend music and dance lessons, and also partici[ate workshops on art, the release added.
