Baghdad, Sep 20 (DPA) At least 22 Iraqis were killed and 24 wounded in a suicide bombing in a busy market in Talafar, 450 km from Baghdad Wednesday.

Police said a suicide bomber, wearing an explosives belt, blew himself up in the heart of the busy market.

Many nearby vehicles and shops were reportedly damaged as a result of the blast.

The death toll, said the police, is only preliminary and might increase in the few hours following the attack.
