Kuala Lumpur, Sep 20 (IANS) India Wednesday defeated the West Indies by 16 runs to keep hopes alive of making it to the final of the DLF Cup triangular series here.

After they were bowled out for 162 in 39.2 overs, India bundled out the West Indies for 146 in 41 overs.

While the West Indies have virtually qualified for the final Sunday, India must also win their next match against Australia Friday to make it to the title round.
