Curfew in Sri Lanka Muslim town, four hurt in police fire
Colombo, Sept 21 (ZEENEWS.COM) Curfew was clamped on Wednesday in an eastern Sri Lankan town after a mob, protesting the massacre of 10 Muslim men, clashed with police personnel who opened fire wounding four civilians.
A police officer opened fire on the angry protestors in the town of Pottuvil and wounded four as his vehicle was mobbed by a group, officials said.

The rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and the local residents have blamed security forces for the massacre while the government pointed fingers at the rebels.
The bodies of the victims were found near Panama in the district of Ampara. The victims were labourers working on an irrigation project.
Meawnhile, the defence ministry said tiger rebels shot dead two hospital employees in the district of Trincomalee yesterday.
