Air Canada to fly non-stop between Mumbai-Toronto

Toronto, Sep 22 (IANS) Canada's flagship carrier Air Canada will introduce non-stop service between Toronto and India's financial capital Mumbai from next year.

The service will become operational once Air Canada takes delivery of its Boeing 777 planes, Air Canada chairman Robert Milton told an aviation conference.

Apart from the passenger fees, Air Canada would benefit from being able to carry cargo to and from India, the Globe and Mail newspaper quoted Milton as saying.

Air Canada emerged from bankruptcy protection two years ago.
