New York, Sept 22 (NNN-WAM) The foreign ministers of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) states held a meeting here Wednesday with their counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 61st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, being held in New York.

The meeting, which was presided over by United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussed ties between the two groups and other international issues of mutual concern.
