Surat, Sept 24 (ZEENEWS.COM) A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was found damaged at a crossroad in Amroli locality of Surat in Gujarat on Saturday.

Both hands of the statue were broken and were seen lying below the podium, sources said.

When contacted, City Police Commissioner Sudhir Sinha said, "the statue of Gandhi was put up about four years ago and it appears that the statue was damaged recently."
