Pakistan-Indian FM Pakistani FM telephoned Indian counterpart
Islamabad, April 14, (IRNA) Pakistani Foreign Minister Khushid M Kasuri telephoned his Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and inquired about his health after the recent road accident in which he was injured, the Foreign Office said on Saturday.
Indian External Affairs Minister thanked Foreign Minister Kasuri and informed him that he has fully recovered, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
Indian External Affairs Minister appreciated the cooperation extended by the Pakistani authorities in aerial and ground based rescue operation following the crash of an Indian helicopter in Siachen on the morning of 11th April in which two pilots suffered fatal injuries.
The two foreign ministers exchanged views about the latest development in bilateral relations and expressed their commitment to the improvement of relations between the two countries, it said.
They agreed to remain in touch in this connection, the statement said.
