Ivanov: Russia won't give uranium enrichment technology to Iran
Moscow, April 21 (NNN-IRNA) Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said his country does not intend to give technologies related to uranium enrichment to Iran.
Ivanov, who was visiting a factory in Kavrov city in Russian Vladimir province, defended his country's action in delivering centrifuges to China as a measure which does not violate international obligations.
Ivanov told reporters China, contrary to Iran and Pakistan, is an atomic power and delivering centrifuges to China is not contradictory to the international regulations.
Russian deputy PM underlined his country's obligation to the international regulations and said, " Russia will never violate International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) regulations."
Referring to the importance of the industry in Russia, Ivanov added " 40 percent of centrifuges in the world market belongs to Russia."
The factory which was visited by Ivanov in Kavrov is producing the ninth generation of gas centrifuges in the world.
