Culture minister urges artists to respond to Hollywood's anti-Iran movie
Tehran, April 22, (IRNA) Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad-Hossein Saffar Harandi said Sunday that Iranian artists should respond to Hollywood's insulting and anti-Iran movie, the '300.'
The minister made the remarks in a meeting with a number of Iranian artists.
Commenting on the movie, Harandi said that its production was a "calculated act by enemies to make good on their frustrations and take revenge on Iranians as they (enemies) were disappointed by progress made by the Iranian nation in different fields."
The minister urged Iranian artists to confront such an act of hostility which is in fact a distortion of history.
Harandi stressed that intellectuals worldwide and even senior figures of Hollywood have denounced the movie '300.'
