Iranian petrochemicals sold in advance in int'l markets up to 2009
Shahr-e Kord, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Prov, Feb 26, (IRNA) All petrochemical products of Iran have been sold in advance in the international market up to fiscal year 2009, an official said here Monday.
Managing-Director of Iran's Petrochemical Commercial Company Mohammad-Ebrahim Mohammadi made the disclosure while speaking to IRNA.
"Iran's petrochemical outputs have been sold through pre-export and pre-financing. Therefore, the issue of imposition of sanctions will have no adverse effect on the sale of such products.
"Based on the adopted mechanism, buyers have paid the cost and price of Iran's petrochemical products," he said.
He added that Iran's Petrochemical Commercial Company has no problem with opening foreigh exchange letters of credit. "Purchasers should open forex credit for products they intend to buy." "Currently, the volume of Iran's exports of petrochemical products has hit USD 2.6 billion. Iran's petrochemicals are exported to international markets in Europe, Far East, China, South Korea and Japan.
"The petrochemical industries of Iran are among industries which have the highest share of its added value," Mohammadi said.
