Basseterre (St. Kitts), March 19 (IANS) Australia defeated the Netherlands by a huge margin of 229 runs in a Group A match of the World Cup at the Warner Park here Sunday.

Chasing a target of 359 set by Australia, the Dutch were all out for just 129 runs in 26.5 overs. For Australia, Brad Hogg scalped four wickets for 27 runs while Glenn McGrath and Nathan Bracken picked up two wickets each.
