Bhopal, March 23 (indianMuslims.info): The progenies of erstwhile Bhopal estate are entwined in legal battle once again against each other over property dispute. Saleha Sultan, sister of former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, has filed a petition in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Anurag Shrivastava here, seeking her share in the ancestral property at Koh-e-Fiza locality here, which has been sold. Pataudi is the grandson and legal heir of late Nawab Hameedullah Khan, the last ruler of Bhopal estate.

Saleha Sultan, also the granddaughter of former Bhopal Nawab Hameedullah Khan who lives in Hyderabad, has claimed one-fourth share in the land registered as workshop under the khasra number 67 and that has been sold out in the past.

The petition has been filed by her ‘Mukhtar-e-Aam’ (person holding power of attorney) against Iqbal Nagar Nigam Sahakari Sanstha’s president Prakash Agarwal, Vinod Agarwal, her elder brother Nawab Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, sister Begum Sabiha Sultan, Pankaj Daga, Nuzhat Khan, Manzoor Qureshi and the Madhya Pradesh Government.

The petitioner has challenged the sale of land spread over an area of 10,800 sq ft and estimated at approximately Rs. 35 million that was registered on July 19, 1996. Of the three sale deeds, only one has been challenged right now.

It may be recalled here that in the past a similar case pertaining to property dispute amongst the scions of the erstwhile ruling family of Bhopal was decided by the First Additional Sessions Judge on November 12, 2003 in favor of Saleha Sultan.
